Complications Of Surgery (Posted by Daughter Danika)

Update:
Yesterday morning our mom headed to the emergency room at VGH because she was worried about an increase in pain and other post-op symptoms. She spent the afternoon in the ER and then was admitted to the hospital for the night. Her CT scan showed two masses that they believe to be blood that is clotting and draining through her internal incision sites. They kept her at the hospital for the night to monitor her and the clots. She spoke to Dr. Brar (Her surgeon) this morning who informed her that this is a very rare complication of her hysterectomy surgery. He is hopeful that this will resolve itself over the next several weeks, the downfall being that it is causing pain and discomfort. For now, they are monitoring her to see if anything changes and decide how they will move forward.
